Solid Waste management

Dumping of solid waste is one of the major problem prevailing in the local authourities in the Southern provincial Council.Southern Provincial planning Secretariat, Provincial Ministry of Environment also have plannned to face this servere challenge. Provincial Planning Secretariat is conducting several pilot projects in selected local authorities.

Activities

1. Conduction of awareness programmes for technical officers.

2. Enhancing the introductions of proper management techniques.

3. implementation of bio gas project at basic level.
