Although a house for living is a basic human right, low income people face a number of difficulies in achiving it. they have no initial capital to build a house and even getting a loan is a difficult task.

the housing programme is intended to assist low income people in urban, rural and plantation sectors to construct new houses and upgrade their existing houses under the housing development programme finnancial and in kind asistance is provided to targeted families.

Objectives - Assist low income groups in urban/rural plantation sector to construct new houses and upgrade their existing houses. - Provide laws at consessional rates - Assist plantation workers to improve housing and sanitation through plantation housing programmes.
