The primary emphasis of the health sector in Southern Province is to help people become more responsible for maintaining therir own health. Provincial council will implement a promotional health programme which aims to improve the health awareness and behavioural practice of the community. The Provincial investment programme will support on going Health department activities in community health education,maternal child health, immunization,STD/Aids Programmes and school health.
